THIS IS A BIG DEAL

Is Paris really the city of love, or is that just a typical marketing strategy to lure in tourists? lol.
Feeding into the cliché, I took my first trip out of the UK to Paris since 2017!
That might not sound like a long time as I understand some people cannot take holiday let alone leave the country. But, for me this is a big deal.
Ever since I became my own woman and financially financially support myself, I have made it my mission to leave the country at least once a year.
That said, over valentines the boyf decided to fly us to Paris for a couple days. I love Paris and since he had never been before, it was a perfect getaway to end the holiday hiatus.

I wanted to show him EVERYTHING! This meant early morning walks to the boulangerie and doing all the 'touristy things' like; trips up the Eiffel tour, visiting the Notre dame, a night time canal cruise along the Sienne river, taking a perspective picture at the louvre and locating a Sephora on the Champs-Élysées

There are many reasons why I love this city:
  1. it is so much more cleaner than London
  2. Food, Food, Food
  3. Picturesque
  4. Easy to get around

If you are on the hunt for a good city break, I think the city of Paris has a lot to offer!

I LEARNT FROM MY MISTAKES

after wearing heels most days last season and twisting my ankle as I fell down a flight of stairs at the freemasons hall. I thought I'd learn from my mistakes and wear heels again but this time, comfortable ones!
I decided to go for a 'biker grunge' look by pairing denim and leather together. I love that my Diesel heels compliment this look by not only being comfortable but also have a touch of denim on the toe strap and on the heel.

HOW TO GET IN TO LONDON FASHION WEEK | MOLLY'S 3 TOP TIPS

HOW TO GET IN TO LONDON FASHION WEEK | MOLLY'S 3 TOP TIPS

I could only dream about being in front row

I started my blog just over three years ago and have become more so consistent for about a year now. I thought over and over,  how I could grow my brand and really meet people who are in my circle of interest. That said, I know that London fashion week is long gone, but for most, is the heart of London fashion, the hub of the who's who and whats what. Though it be true, you don't need to be a celebrity to join in on the fun. I thought I could only dream about being front row at a catwalk show and...it happened!
Here are my top tips for getting your way in.

  • Have a ready-made social media base

In this day and age, social media is everything. Building up your Social media base is a great way to show that not only you have an interest in the fashion but, you are actively creating content and engaging with people over social media.

It shows you mean business!

  • Create a confident sounding email
Confidence is key in this industry. This doesn't mean you have to be loud, rude or brash. But knowing that you are passionate and KNOW you want to be in this business needs to transpire within your email and also when you get to the events. You're probably thinking, "well, how am I supposed to sound confident over email?" What I think works, is showing interest for the brand by suggesting to make content (and actually delivering the content).  Grovelling is not the way. Simply asking for an RSVP gets straight to the point without wasting the agency's time reading about how your grandmothers aunty dressed you in so and so's designer thats why you want to come. No! Agency's go though a lot of emails and simply do not have the time to read invitation requests. So keep it simple. If you're invited, great! If not, there are so many other shows going on in that one week that you will definitely enjoy.
  • Network, Network & Network
This may sound daunting but honestly, this is the most fun part about attending events like these. It is also very easy because everyone is in the same vibe of getting to know new people and gauge new potential opportunities. I think business cards are a good way of keeping in peoples memory, but also literally popping in your social media account into their phone and getting a cheeky extra follow works just as well. So you've networked and increased your following by 1, now what? Follow up.

Following up is the best way to start to build a relationship with the people you have met and the PR agencies that have invited you. perhaps the "thank you for the invite, I'd love to be considered for events like these in the future" *social media linked below* sort of response would suffice. But just anything in your own style to let them know you appreciate the invite and maybe wont have to do as many emails for the next LFW season.

I really hope this helps some of you! Hopefully i'll be seeing you at the next seasons do.

WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK AW18 | DAY 4

WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK AW18 | DAY 4

My Last Day Of Many LFW Seasons

so, we have come to an end of my 'What I wore to LFW' series and I cant wait for the SS19 collection to come through! I wanted to go for a smart/casj vibes for this day as I had a lot of rushing around and pretty light hearted shows to attend

I know some of you may think "why is she wearing a 'the Hamptons' crop top, we're in London babes", But I really liked this sort of, dressed down American vibes this tee added to the look. Paired with my navy polyester side split wide leg trousers from Zara, I feel like the faux pearl detail along the sides accentuated my figure (just a tad). Navy is also such a good colour to play with when pulling off smart/casual vibes because, its not as harsh as black but still looks smart. Let me not forget to mention how comfortable they were especially for the Bipolar weather we were experiencing.

All black everything

From the invite I knew that this show would be very edgy, dark and stylish so, I thought I would incorporate this into my outfit for this show. 'All black everything' was defo the mantra for this fit but, by adding different textures and materials is the best way to turn a monochrome outfit into a LFW worthy ensamble.

I decided to opt for a mesh bodysuit to show off the lace detail on my bralet. To break it up a little bit more, I played with textures and added my teddy coat and military pleather skirt.

WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK AW18 | DAY 2

Is it too early to dress for spring?

A sunny day in London always calls for pastel colours and coat-less attire. I want to create these posts to look back and see how my style has evolved as I attend more and more fashion weeks.

For a semi busy fashion week day I opted for a 'fifty shades of blue' fit. I hardly wear blue but I love this pastel blue shirt with large pleated ruffles on the shoulder. although this shirt took ages to iron, its very airy and comfortable to wear for a long day stomping around London. I paid this shirt with a pair of Topshop Orson jeans which are a mix between a 'straight' and a 'mom' jean. I adore these jeans because I'm kinda over skinny jeans but I still want my figure to show through. these are perfect because they do just that and I also feel that they are a great smart/casual piece. I had to think really carefully about my footwear because I wanted a pair to compliment my outfit but also provide me with comfort for my recovering ankle after LFW Day 1. These blue suede strappy heels made the cut.

WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK AW18 | DAY 1

WHAT I WORE TO LONDON FASHION WEEK AW18 | DAY 1

My first ever time at London Fashion Week. I was here. I made it! So many different emotions built up inside of me. I was excited, nervous but I wanted to make an impression whilst being comfortable of course. However, that was not the case obviously, as I shamelessly fell down the marble stairs in the Freemasons hall. After being asked if I was okay multiple times, I adored the Malan Breton show which was right up my street embracing colour, flares and tassels. Afterwards, I attended the Claire Tagg Presentation which although was her autumn winter collection, screamed spring/summer. If you would like to see my favourite pieces from the show, both of these shows are documented in my LONDON FASHION WEEK DAY 1 blog post and in my Vlog

For the first day at one of my most thought of events of my life. I decided to go with what I would describe as smart casual. Stripes are back in season, so i decided to go with a really simple cotton stripe shirt unbuttoned and some ribbed kick flare trousers.
To show that I meant business, I completed this look with my teddy coat from Boohoo
