Hey peeps!

I know i've been a bad blogger (forgive me) but as hard as it may be to believe, I am still finding my feet with all this. I have had some time to figure out my style and what I want my blog and YouTube channel to represent. So...here is a post of my outfits from my first day in Mykonos.
My amazing boyfriend decided to whisk me away to the most gorgeous city-like Island for my birthday 2 weeks ago. Such an amazing treat after exams.
As I am starting placement (which will be tomorrow...eeeppp!) I feel that this will be my time to find myself even more which will hopefully result in more amazing posts!
Enjoy

The Last Day

This was our last day in Mykonos. It was quite bitter sweet, although we had an amazing holiday, It was the start of a new chapter for the both of us!
We spent this day getting treats for the family, sight seeing and enjoying the amazing food Mykonos had to offer for the last time.

Waterfall coat- eBay
Jeans- Topshop
Top- H&M
Bag- Zara

I know that spring is fast approaching but I can't help but wear black. I wore this comfy ensemble for a jam packed date night. I loved the way that these coated leigh jeans from Topshop gives this look a biker edge to it. I tried to add a pop of colour with my large Zara bag that I've had for years! To add some daytime city chic to this look. I also wore these double texture New Look boots, that I've also had for a long time, to dress up this look as I went to dinner and madison roof top bar later on in the day.
I decided to Vlog this day so check out my youtube channel if you want to see what I got up to.

My Holy grail skincare must haves!

My Holy grail skincare must haves!

As i'm getting older I have been studying my skin more. I don't have the most perfect skin nor the worst skin. However, I do suffer from break outs, dryness, oiliness and rashes on the skin. Since i've changed my skin lotion from liquid paraffin to Jergens Shea butter my skin has dramatically transformed. Obvious cuts and bruises were disappearing and I haven't got a rash on my body since using this lotion. On the other hand, my face is still a problem area. I have very obvious pours which I tend to squeeze out the white heads from, I know it's disgusting. I've now switched from my tea tree regime to a more gentle but effective one.

I still love using my tea tree wipes because I feel like they exfoliate and remove make up effectively but now I use the 'sensitive Nevia 3 in 1 micellar cleansing water' afterwards with a large cotton pad, which you can easily buy from any drugstore, to cleanse my skin. I feel like this step has made my skin softer and removes make up that the make up wipe missed. I do this morning and evening to help rejuvenate my skin.

I also go in with the 'gentle skin cleanser' by Cetaphil to help retain the moisture in my skin. I love this product because it is fragrance free, which I feel can cause rashes on my skin. the only thing I would say is that I haven't experienced the rapid disappearance of the blemishes on my skin with this product. Therefore I opted for the Boots vitamin E Moisture day cream which is suggested to protect and repair skin. I also use the 'Moisturising lotion' by Cetaphil for extra hydration.

I exfoliate once a week with the 'Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Scrub', which I feel is perfect as it is not too harsh for my skin and helps reduce the appearance of white heads around my nose and mouth.

I've very recently been using the 'dermalogica our favourites' gift set and have been loving the pre-cleanse, gentle cream exfoliator and the primer on my skin. I personally experienced immediate results when following the exact instructions on the back. I felt that it gave my skin a freshness to it and surprised with after one use I could see a difference.

I have also added the vitamin E oatmeal cleanser, which is perfect for getting rid of dirt trapped deep into the skin. As lumpy as it is, after washing this product off with some lukewarm water my skin feels as soft as a baby's bottom. Before adding my vitamin E cream I use my hylamide serum to lock in the moisture and voila.

I am very careful with the products I use on my skin and tend not to change the routine. I'm so happy that I have found a new regime that has surpassed my trusty tea tree routine. I've also got my eye on the clinique pore refining solutions charcoal mask but yet to purchase it seeing as haven't seen or read a review based on my skin type, convincing enough for me to buy it. But keep an eye out I may be adding it to my routine in the future.

M.A.C Faerie Whispers & ABH Illuminator

M.A.C Faerie Whispers & ABH Illuminator

Continuing on with my make-up splurge I managed to get my hands on MAC's limited edition Faerie Whispers lipstick in 'among the fire flies'. Can I just say WELL DONE Mac for bringing out a shade that I personally think that compliments women on colour! I am an NC45 in Mac's studio fix fluid foundation, which I would describe as being a medium dark, and it looks absolutely phenomenal. It is a creamsheen finish but could definitely look amazing as a matte by blotting some translucent powder on top. It is perfect for everyday as the pigment is quite muted and subtle. I would apply this lipstick with a brown lip liner (chestnut or kiko 307) to exaggerate the lip line, otherwise it is perfect on its own. Its a shame this colour is a limited edition but i'm sure MAC has a dupe in their permanent collection.
Left: ABH Illuminator (peach nectar) Right: Among the fire flies

THIS Illuminator has officially changed my highlighting game! I am not even exaggerating. I know ABH has brought out the new glow kit but this highlight is hands down the best I have used. I am pleased to say that this product is very finely milled as it has a silky texture to it. If you're like me and don't mind tampering with your make-up products, after taking a photo of it of course, then you can test whether the product has been made well or not. I do this by pressing my finger in the middle for a few seconds, then releasing it. If I can see a finger print or shape from where my finger has been then you can say the product has been very finely milled. If the product starts to crackle and break, then its the opposite. This way, I can determine what method to use, to apply this product.
The best application for this product I would say is either the good ol' finger or a dry beauty blender. I emphasise on the 'dry' because if you apply it with a damp beauty blender, on my skin, created a blotchy look which was not what I wanted. I purchased the illuminator in the shade 'peach nectar' as warm toned highlighters tend to provide a better look to my skin. I have been using this product a lot recently so check out the looks I have created on my youtube channel and intsagram.

Let's talk about life: A second year student

Let's talk about life: A second year student

As fast as first year went I'm surprisingly excited for the challenges second year will bring (I might regret posting this at the end of the year but hey). I am more so happy that I've found my field I understand that I'm not a wiz at exams but love a balance between the two. I'm also enjoying my degree! Its going to be tough seeing as I'd have to do more extra curricular such as; volunteering, brand ambassador roles, my new part time job and of course my blog and YouTube channel. This year actually counts towards my final degree so it's important that I prioritise my life in general. I will also be looking for a placement for my placement year at university which adds even more pressure. I know a lot of my readers/ viewers are of a similar age to me so I'd thought I'd post things that we actually deal with on a day to day aside from beauty and fashion.

New MAC Purchases

New MAC Purchases

Hi guys, I have recently made a trip to one of my favourite make up stores, MAC and purchased some new lip products. one of which is 'Sin' which is a Matte deep red'ish brown tone with blue undertones which is similar to 'Diva' and 'Media'. Seeing as we're going into the Fall/Autumn/Winter, i thought this shade would be perfect for the dull weather.
I also thought i'd experiment by getting my hands on the lip pencil in the shade 'stone', although I kinda failed seeing as this colour is not as brown as it shows on the packaging. It is exactly the description and comes off very purpely grey which does not sit well with my skin tone. However paired with my sleek lipstick 'Tweek' it comes out with a mauvey nude colour which is very much different to what i'm used to.

Remember to check out my YouTube channel for more from me.
Love you all x
